Milwaukee Online banking service provider CheckFree Corp. is coming out with technology that could help consumers to deposit their checks from home. It is called as Remote Deposit Capture, the technology will allow letting people scan their checks through their computer's scanner and deposit them electronically, the technology has been around for several year, until now, it was mainly used for the business purpose. CheckFree said the service is available starting this week for any consumers who bank online, as long as their banks offer it.
