Zeemote JS1 - Joystick for Bluetooth Cell Phones

Zeemote JS1 is joystick, which connects to a Cell Phone via Bluetooth and with four user configurable buttons, it provides a comfortable gaming experience. Zeemote is for those who feel a bit uncomfortable to use their Cell Phone's joystick, and for those who likes to play a bit old-fashioned way. Zeemote JS1 is small enough to put in a pocket. Several popular games are optimized to be played by Zeemote such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Tomb Raider, and Helistrike 3D, though it is sure that it will work with any mobile game. There is no clarity on pricing and availability, but really hope we see this out soon.

Nokia introduces N78

The latest midrange Nokia N78 comes fully loaded with high speed HSPDA 3G support, Wi-Fi connectivity, FM music transmitter and integrated Assisted GPS (AGPS) with free Nokia Maps 2.0. In addition, this midrange handset features picture geotagging capability with the help of 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera and Carl Zeiss optics. Everything else is just as an average S60 Third edition pack 2, which comes with Bluetooth and Wifi, 3.5mm headphone out, and microSD memory card, currently available with upto 8GB and 2GB microSD card is already available in the package.
It is the first version of Nokia Nseries, which announced to be available in Europe and America including their 3G versions.
Nokia N78 is expected to start shipping by the Q2 this year, with expected price tag of $500.

Helio Ocean - Youtube too

Helio's latest the Helio Ocean is going to feature YouTube too, as Helio said that they are "most complete YouTube experience currently available on mobile." Its also provided with cool new features that makes you feel like you are using a computer, some of them are like, instant uploading, can also geo tag the posted videos with integrated GPS, and with login capability allows users to comment, video replies, and can even rate them.

Also has features like, phone has a dual-slider by which you can easily choose for either numeric keypad or a QWERTY keypad. It has a 2 megapixel camera, a music player, a full HTML browser, EV-DO support and alot of messaging options, you can also search the web directory by just from phone main screen.

Porsche P9521 Cellphone

UK will soon be having the Porsche P9521 cellphone sometime in the first half of this month - thats enough time to buy Christmas presents, so you have the chance to brag to others that you actually bought a Porsche for your kid/wife/hubby - just don’t let them know that it is a cellphone instead of a mean, street legal racing machine. The Porsche P9521 cellphone will be made available through Mobilephones24.co.uk

Porsche for most of us is a sleek and fast car that is capable of reaching 60 mph from a standing stop in under 5 seconds. Who would’ve thought that the automobile manufacturer would actually come up with a cellphone? Well, they have by collaborating with French partner Sagem, resulting the Porsche P9521. Made out of aluminum, it won’t be able to leave your competition eating dust and smelling burnt rubber, but at the very least they’ll drool after the handset as you make heads turn every time you pull out the handset from your pocket. The design consists of a double hinge system that enables you to open and rotate the phone a full 360 degrees, complete with a touch sensitive screen for a more user friendly experience. After all, touch sensitive displays seem to be the way to go these days, judging by the response that the iPhone as well as other smartphones like the HTC Touch are getting in the market.

Features includes mineral glass on the screen, an integrated fingerprint scanning device to keep your personal data safe, access to a concierge service, a 3.2 megapixel camera, an integrated MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity, EDGE support and the all the necessary multimedia functions. Too bad there is no 3G on the P9521, as that feature would’ve capped off a fine performance from Porsche’s maiden entry into the world of cellphones.

Black Jack II Smartphone

Coincidence or not, the BlackJack II smartphone for AT&T will become available for purchase on a popular day that is similar to its name - Black Friday - which is on November 23rd, in other words, 2 days from now.

The mobile device was announced on October during CTIA, and can be considered an upgrade from the previous BlackJack. As a true upgrade should be, the new Samsung phone has a bigger screen, an improved design, fresh colors, additional shortcut buttons to soften up the usability, and a jog wheel instead of the usual scroll wheel.

On top of the previously mentioned features, the BlackJack II comes with a GPS system and is compatible with AT&T Video Share. As for the price, $150 with a 2-year contract, and while the black colored version will be available this Friday, the burgundy model will only be for sale on December 6.

Samsung FlipShot from Verizon

Considering that most cell phone cameras are just tacked onto the cell phone program, you usually get what you pay for, which is nothing. However, Samsung’s Flipshot may prove that the cell phone camera maybe as good as a real camera.

The Samung Flipshot is offered from Verizon, and it has 3 megapixels of camera and camcorder action. As you can see, the display is a nice rotating display for some serious action. The display itself is a 240 x 320 260k color TFT.

Other features include a business card reader, digital zoom, living wallpaper, V CAST capable, speakerphone, messaging services, VZ Navigator, as well as a personal organizer with calendar, calculator, notepad, alarm clock and world clock. It also has Bluetooth capability for headsets, car kits and other compatible devices.

One can only hope that cell phone cameras like the FlipShot will set a new standard for cell phone cameras. Perhaps there will come a day when we simply take out our cell phones to take pictures and have as much confidence in the results as we do our regular cameras. If that is ever the case, then the camera business could suffer a loss.

The FlipShot is available now at Verizon Wireless for $199.99 and a two year contract.

Bence Bogar's Concept Phone

Designer, Bence Bogar, releases a concept phone which he claims is the “perfect phone in the world”, which means he claims his concept phone is better than iPhone. The concept phone has 2.8″, 5.0-MP digital camera, 512MB Ram, micro SD (T-flash) expansion slot, WIFI support, built-in Bluetooth technology, and built-in GPS features.

Google Phone with Open Source Platform

While Apple goes to extreme lengths to keep the vastly overpriced iPhone locked down so as to protect their lucrative deal with AT&T, Google has gone the other way in announcing their Open handset Alliance. The alliance joins 34 companies which will accept the Google Phone and it’s open source mobile platform called Android.

The Android platform is the first step in this direction — a fully integrated mobile “software stack” that consists of an operating system, middleware, user-friendly interface and applications. In addition, handset manufacturers and wireless operators will be free to customize Android in order to develop new products faster and cheaper.

T-Mobile, HTC, Samsung, LG and Motorola are amongst the leading wireless providers who have joined together to provide an open format for cellular communications which will also foster innovation on mobile devices and giving consumers a far better user experience.

Consumers should expect the first phones based on Android to be available in the second half of 2008.

The idea of a cellphone watch is not so new, the TripleWatch designed by Manon Maneenawa has an interesting triple flip technique that allows the user to transform the watch into a normal cellphone. When used as a wrist watch, the phone has a speaker button that allows the user to answer the phone and hang up while driving.

The Nokia Aeon concept was somehow inspired by Synaptics Onyx. The full surface touchscreen display phone concept is indeed cool and tempting but who knows? Nokia is tight-lipped to make any comments on the phone.
