ClickFree Backup solution - HD700

Many people lost their invaluable data in system crashes or an unfortunate format. In addition, the worse thing is people do not know how to make backup of their files. Now there is easy backup solution by ClickFree, the HD700. It is a 2.5-inch SATA portable hard drive that comes with the feature of automatic backup. The HD700 is very easy to use, just plug it into a computer's USB, then automatically it downloads the software to backup computer's hard drive. No need to install any drivers for it, everything needed is all in the hard drive itself. Therefore, it is really is a ClickFree solution.
ClickFree, the HD700 can make a backup of up to 120 GB, and the company plans to raise the storage capacity to 250 GB. Still 120 GB is good enough to store multiple PC's backup.
This ClickFree HD700 is available on ClickFree's website for $169.

64GB Solid State Disk by A-Data

A-Data has just revealed its two new solid-state disks in size of 1.8 inch and 2.5 inch PATA and SATA Drives in Taiwan. A-Data said that it could be a hard drive replacement with storage capacity of 64GB. Both the SSD's provides anti-shock protection, longer data retention, faster access time, and lower power consumption, multiple level cell technology to fits its storage. These drives can also used for consumer electronic products such as UMPC, PMP and camcorder etc.
These SSD drives are only available in Taiwan only. The company did not reveal its price and its availability.

SSD (Solid State Drive)

Toshiba announced the launch of its new 128GB SSD (Solid State Drive) in Japan, and it is expected to be in the market by the Q1 (first quarter) of the 2008. While on the other hand Super Talent has already launched its 3.5 inch 256GB SSD in USA. But if you are going to see CES 2008 then you can easily have a look at these. Toshiba will be offering both SATA-2 SSD as well as SATA-2 drives in 1.8" and 2.5" form factors in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage capacities. The maximum read speed of the SSD products is rated at 100 MB/s, the maximum write speed is 40MB/s with a SATA-2 interface. The operating life of the drive could be near about estimated at 1,000,000 hours.

Toshiba said that SSDs are able to remove NAND flash produced in 56 nm technology and can be integrate an original MLC controller that can support fast speeds, parallel data transfers and wear leveling, and can achieve performance levels that can be comparable to those of single level NAND flash SSDs. The multi level cells was key to achieve a density of 128 GB, the firm noted.
