Pioneer - AVIC F500BT


Pioneer, a well-known name in auto music systems, is now planning to get into auto navigation systems with AVIC F500BT, a hybrid system and advanced voice recognition for providing complete control of iPod and Bluetooth devices.

AVIC F500BT stores utility of many devices, it is a navigation system with mapping function, which provides overhead and movable 3D viewing. It has a 5.8-inch touch screen, and directions are texts to speech. The database includes maps of the United States, Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii. In addition, it has an auxiliary input audio for personal audio and communication devices, and has the capability to play mp3 or WMA file by a SD memory card or streamed from Bluetooth mobile phone.

This device also has the advantage of voice control, which allows its users to control their iPods or other Bluetooth devices easily. The voice controls for the music allows commands as “Play Bryan”, and if you want, you can choose a particular album too. Moreover, for making a phone call, you just have to say "call xxxxx", and device will confirm you to call home or mobile.

Pioneer AVIC F500BT is said be available in Spring of 2008, but there is no hint over its price, having a lot in one thing do not expect it to be cheap though.

Make iPod speaker dock into Bluetooth speaker dock


It is cool adapter named BTA-01 by Intempo for all those who wants to use their Ipod docks as the music phone docks. There are not too many docks available in the market today for the music phones but for the Ipod docks there are many options to choose. This adapter works on the Bluetooth technology, so it can turns any iPod speaker dock with a dock connecter into speaker for the music phones that may have Bluetooth with stereo support, or say A2DP. You can even stream the music directly through your PC or mp3 player. The BTA-01 is compatible with any Bluetooth v1.2 device and covers a range of up to 10 meters.

This device is costs about $80, and available in high gloss black with silver casing.

E-Light for Outdoor Parties


Though summer has given way to the dropping leaves of fall, as we march to the cold snows of winter, it’s never too late to think of outdoor entertaining. Thanks to 4 rechargable NiMh AA batteries, the E-Light can run for up to six hours with both lights and sound at normal volume, or 12 hours with either lights or sound. It also comes with a charging stand converts the E-light to a music-playing desk lamp as it charges.

Available from Front Gate, the E-Light Umbrella Light runs for about $100 (iPod stand not included).
